Well, it’s been a long, dark time of inactivity for Board Game Resource. In my last post all the way back in February, I talked about my impending marriage and the chaotic aftermath that would follow for a good month or so in my personal life. Although BGR was left dark, my life was full of light as I finally got to marry the woman of my dreams! This, of course, was a busy time. Marriage preparations all over the place (I did what all good grooms do and pretended to be much more involved than I actually was in the planning), an ensuing honeymoon, and then a road trip with stops in three different states to get all of our junk together, ultimately leading us back to university where we’ve FINALLY settled in and normal life will finally begin.
While I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss devouring copious amounts of free cruise ship food, I AM excited to announce that Board Game Resource is back. I am returning to my schedule of working on BGR on a daily basis, and I’m going to strive to deliver awesome content that I hope tabletop gamers of all demographics will enjoy. Furthermore, I am going to work on growing the site, turning it into more than just a simple blog, and I’ll hopefully be able to load on some new features and visual overhauls that I’ve been stewing over for quite a while now.
In the meantime, I’ve got some content I’m working on. I’m writing comprehensive reviews for Galaxy Trucker, Kemet, and Star Wars: Rebellion, as well as several other articles such as lists, blog posts, and strategy articles. Also, Mike has written an excellent review for an upcoming Kickstarter game, Black Sands, which I’ll be publishing shortly.
Finally, to celebrate BGR’s long overdue resuscitation, I’ll be giving away a free copy of Age of Steam. The giveaway isn’t completely ready yet, but keep tuning back this week and you’ll see it pop up. I promise!
So, that’s where we’re at right now. I hope to have some content posted real soon. If you’re itchin’ to see my review a specific game, or want any other type of content, use the contact form to message me, or comment here. Thanks for reading!
